Following are emails I got regarding a couple of players I represented in the past. They never made it to the majors, but I always treated them as if they had - as I do with all of my clients.
The first one is an unsolicited e-mail I got from the mother of Nick Day. Pre-season rankings in Basball America before his senior year of High School had him as the #7 High School prospect in the country. He signed with Stanford and got drafted in the 19th round after High School. He didn't play much his first three years at Stanford, transferred to BYU, and got drafted in the 20 something round after his Senior year, got a very small bonus and never made it out of "A" ball.
I hope this gives you an idea of how hard I work for my clients -- all my clients -- whether it's the 'Carlos Delgados' who pay me tons of money, or the 'Nick Days' of the Baseball world who never are in a position to pay me a dime.

These messages are regarding my former client Chris Jaile, who was drafted in the 4th round out of High School by the Texas Rangers. After getting a nice signing bonus, he never again made big money as he didn't make it out of Single A. But, as I said above, I give all of my clients the same respect and consideration regardless of what level they are playing.
This message was forwarded to me by Chris's dad. He thought I should see what his son had written to him about our working relationship.

Dad,
You know I was thinking, yesterday was a nice conversation b/c we
didn't talk about anything but baseball. That was cool...we didn't argue and
we didn't have disagreements.
Anyways the reason I am writing to you is for one reason...Yesterday
I spoke to Mr. Sloane for a long, long time. You know out of everyone that
is involved in this big mumbo-jumbo of the draft and my decision has two
different opinions...and yes even you. I know that you try to be objective
but whenever we talk there is always a hint that you want me to go a certain
way. Also, it isn't only you, now a days I talk to mom and she has her
opinion that is a bit one-sided and I talk to Steph and she is one-sided
also. Mr. Sloane is the only person that I could honestly sit down and talk
to him without getting annoyed.

Mr. Sloane and I have come to sort of an aggreement...that is that he
would contact the scouting director (McMichaels) and tell him that everything
would be put on hold for a 2 or 3 days so that some "personal issues" could
be resolved. I think if I sit and weigh these two decisions out thoroughly
and without any influences WHAT SO EVER, I can come to a decision that would
be of sound body and mind.
Now I haven't made this decision yet and hopefully I will come to it
soon....but for now you will just (please) abide by my wishes and try and not
annoy me with little details of both aspects and just talk to me over the
phone like a normal every-day father that misses his son (just like yesterdays
conversation...please)

Hey how's it going? Just got back from the All-Star game...it was amazing! What an experience!
I just wanted to say thank you. Next to my family, you are definitely one of the reasons why I made it this year. In my eyes the sky is the limit...

"Charlton, 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, had a career .303 average at NJIT, wrapping up his career with a fine senior season. He hit .319 with nine home runs, 14 doubles and 38 RBIs. He also stole 15 bases.
He majored in business, not engineering, at NJIT, but don’t think that means the curriculum was less difficult. He’ll earn his degree with a few more math classes, something he said he hopes to finish soon.
For now, however, it’s all baseball. His playing days at lesser known NJIT are behind him. He’s now on a level playing field with everyone on the Mustangs, a Reds rookie league affiliate.
He can look at a former teammate, too, to let him know the trip upward through the minors is possible. Mark Leiter Jr., who also played for the Highlanders, was selected by the Phillies in the 22nd round in 2013. Leiter now is at Double-A Reading.
Charlton was the first position player and the third player overall selected out of NJIT.
